LinkedIn: where the people who sign are
If your customer isn't someone going out for dinner but a company, an investor or a professional, Instagram isn't the place for you. LinkedIn is.
Not every business sells to someone walking past
An estate agency looking for investors, a kitchen design studio that wants to reach developers, a service company that needs to talk to hotel managers: for all of them, a hundred of the right followers on LinkedIn are worth more than ten thousand on Instagram.
Tenerife also has a factor of its own: lots of foreign companies, lots of newly arrived professionals and lots of decisions made before setting foot on the island. LinkedIn is where you find them.
The three pieces
Company page
A properly set-up page, explaining what you do without waffle, and posts that aren't press releases.
Personal brand
On LinkedIn people follow people, not logos. We prepare the profile of the owner or salesperson and write in their voice.
Direct outreach
Lists of real contacts by sector and job title, and messages written one by one. No mass mailings that end up in the bin.
Lists of people, not companies
A list of two hundred companies with their general info email address is useless: nobody who can say yes reads that inbox. What works is a list of people, with a name, job title and direct contact.
It's slower to put together and far more effective. We've done it for recruiting estate agents and for reaching purchasing managers, and the difference in response rates is night and day.
- People with names and job titles, not generic inboxes
- Messages written for that person, not templates
- Tracking of who has replied and who hasn't
- The profile content backs up the outreach: when they look you up, they find something

What people ask us
Is LinkedIn any use for a restaurant?
For filling tables, not much. For selling corporate events, business lunches or corporate catering, quite a lot. It's a different channel with a different goal, and we don't recommend it to everyone.
Do I have to post myself?
We write and you approve, but the profile has to sound like you. A half-hour interview a month is usually enough to have original material rather than generic content.
What about data protection?
We work with publicly available professional data and one-to-one contact, not with mass mailings or bought lists.
